Agree with Hudge, anything war related is risky
Football is OK but we will be in for a bit of p taking with England's performance since, and that last goal in 66 may be as controversial as WWII still

Could re-use the crusader outfits but add coconut shells and ride in as per Monty Python, could have some squires and the ladies in medieval garb

Oh, I agree with you both here - but the best way of getting the discussion going is to kick of with a couple of obvious taboos   ;)

We could reuse the knights costumes with tweaks as the Dutch do their orange every year, not keed on the footy stuff means we would have to fight everyone in sight..
Monks habits were another option the previous years, last years bowlers n t shirts worked well but cannot think of another simple replacement. We have 6 months to get sorted so ideas welcome.

Roadrunner's suggestion, now theres a thought

All males 6 foot and over - Basils - time to practice silly walks and grow a moustache
All males under 6 foot - Manuels - learn a bit of Spanish and grow a moustache
All females - Sybils - get your hair done in a big blue rinse perm

Que?

Instead of football, could go for cricket?
I like the idea of Robin Hood. Also thought could dress as Hobbits/Lord of Rings characters or Harry Potter.

Alternatively, could go as a full English  ;D

Currently only £7.99 on eBay - cheap as chips.  ???

Not sure going dressed as food is a great idea with all those drunken people wanting to take a bite

We`d be chased round the field more than Sandra was with that guy last year   ;D

In all seriousness, I do like this one though - "The Full English"   ;-)up

could we do a shotgun wedding between Sandra and "gunther gummi"? (the male doll witch sat atop the red/pink t1 last year)

after having the triplets somebody has to step up.....

the rest can dress as the extended (dis functional) family. (random inflatable animal clown, puncture repair man. vicar, bride father and mother. brides maids, otto the autopilot, etc etc

try and find some inflatable children (better not google that one) and a inflatable shotgun.

but do feel free to ignore anything i say :)

Although not strictly on what to dress subject, discussing with Lee last night, how about each buggy have an identical "Sandra"?

Lee will obviously turn up in Germany with the original Sandra as this is the kind of woman he goes for, but on Friday night for an early Saturday awakening, we all blow up the other 20+ Sandra's and have them sitting in the buggies awaiting the dawn chorus! ;-)up

Should be a good photo opportunity and have no doubt it will be the picture shown in the May 2017 BBI calendar (Please note it is BBI and not the BBW calendar, as I am being told by a friend,  this is a completely different type of calendar!).  ::)

Oi Oi !! Leave out my Sandra in all of this, she is very sensitive to these kind of over inflated ideas! Don't want her bursting with excitement to early!!   ;)
