i'd like to thank you all for the appraisal and the good company over last weekend.
really enjoyed hanging with you lot, and the banter and sillies you all have (except, Lee he's just mad )

as for the help you seem to appreciate so much, its part of the buggy family that you help your mates no mater how.
lets be honest, its a mechanical hobby and failures happen i'd be far more weary stepping on a ferry knowing you need to do 200 miles before i can count on some help getting parts and or assistance. so I do this in part to welcome you to the continent like brothers and sisters and i hope you'll do the same for us when we come round your way.

ibw first time round i found the most powerful feeling that you have mates all over the world because of a buggy habit we share, and we do look out for etch other.
asking only that you'l do the same if needs be.

if you ever find yourself on the continent give us a ring and we'l go for a drink and a party.

as for the translation and the gifts you gave me for it i almost feel guilty for excepting them as it's not relay that hard to do.
the fine i got is my fault and kind of feel bad for making you spring for lunch.

hazel should have pictures and video's of the tunnel of us chasing you to the airport as i used her phone to video.

im about to book a ferry for Harwich on the 16th of august. and will hope to see you there for a some legs of peer pressure. and i'l try to bring some friends along.

Had a great time at IBW, only our second one but we loved the trip from start to finish, being with new friends and old, we couldn’t fault anybody….. My buggy on the other hand was a different story!
We started off by meeting at Corley services and the buggy ran great down to Colchester. From Colchester to Harwich is when the trouble started. We ended up being towed into Harwich by Gail’s knight in shining armour…. Snoopy!  We were working at a frantic pace of trying this and that to get it going. It was at this stage I was wondering should we be going or not? As once I was on foreign soil, there was no looking back. So Snoopy towed us onto the boat. Whilst on the boat they let us work on the buggy until they set sail.

Having been towed off the boat to a nearby car park, snoopy got it going with certain items borrowed.

On route to the first services at Portland, the buggy just got slower and slower until it cut out. I ended up splitting up from the group but luckily enough we had Snoopy and Hudge with us. We fitted another coil which Hudge kindly loaned me. It started and we were off and caught the bunch up at Portland services. From then on it ran great into the IBW camp at Dusseldorf. On the Saturday whilst some of the cars were being worked on, Chad and Snoopy were checking out my wiring and they thought they had solved it (cracked fuse).

Running around Dusseldorf everything was great but on the journey home, every time we stopped for fuel or a break we had to push it to start it.
Once back in the UK between Harwich and Cambridge the buggy just cut out completely (loss of voltage). Dave Dream ran me to a local shop to buy a new battery but once we were running we noticed the voltage being drained. We made it to Fourwentways services which is our annual fuel stop on the way home. I decided I had had enough of breaking down and wondering if I’d make it home so decided to call the breakdown services. 10 minutes after calling them, I had a call to say they were 60 seconds away. How’s that for service?

Now that we’re home, I’m changing the generator for an alternator and Chad is going to completely rewire the buggy for us, which I’m chuffed so thank you Chad.

I would like to thank everyone that helped especially Snoopy and Chad and IBW is already on the calendar for next year. Although I had a breakdown or two and others did, don’t let what I’ve written put you off. If you’re thinking about going then go because all the people that go, all muck in and help, you’ll never be left alone and you’ll have fun!

Dave problems only make a more memorable trip, you will never forget this one.

Just to up date on our saga with the buggy we are now back up and running thanks to chad in doing a fantastic rewiring, we finally had one last problem when he came to start it the new battery was flat and wouldnt charge we put the old one back on and away it went, had the battery changed today as when it was tested it had a dead cell when I bought it at halfords they didnt test it but they changed it with no problem . Looking forward to Ragley Hall and meeting up with everyone .

Well that explains why the new battery would not get you home from fourwent ways, happy days now the weather is changing, just had a call from another IBW problem buggy owner replacement parts fitted and fan ctill coming loose, must have been a jinx on us this year.
