I've just had advance prices for 2016 for the ferry.

Unless we can get a discount it's £242 for 2 leaving on Thur and back on Mon with an inside cabin.

Last years was £290ish before the group booking discount from their contact so hopefully it will be arouns the a £208 again.
Will have to get a list going so they can be approached with a number of buggies and bodies.

Last year,   (when I stepped in to negotiate the deals whilst Chad was looking after Ruth)   we had a pretty good list going, and a deal was struck at the beginning of December to negotiate a discount with Stena. I still have all the contact details, and more than happy to negotiate this one again nearer the time, unless Chad wants to take control of it again, as after all, IBW is his baby and not mine.

Either way, we are going to need a list for who wants to go to get some numbers

THIS IS OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS AND ALL PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS - IT IS THE ROAD TRIP OF A LIFETIME - DONT MISS OUT !!

SO if you want to come, add your name here

We are planning to do a couple of extra days in the local area (Germany) as most of the cost is getting there if anyone wants to join us?

Stenna e mail arrived just and the full fare is £221 a buggy with 2 occupants without any discounts because we are away from the bank holiday weekend this time.

Thats good to hear, and gives me a figure to start haggling with. Last year we negotiated the deal early December, so hoping to do the same.

Still looking for more cars to sign up, and for the Newbies who are unsure about this one, check out the threads in the GB Buggies section to see what it entails and how much of a laugh you will have. For those contemplating traveling alone, with a spare seat, please also let us know, as I know that there are also some members on here looking for a ride, and may be able to split some costs with you.

With Jon in Sweden the northern contingent might travel south to join the rest of you. To be confirmed as no conversation has been had yet

I know we have a little while yet, but thought I would get the ball rolling on a very contraversial and widely open subject -

The obligatory Fancy Dress

Bearing in mind we are invading Germany, The Shopkeeper suggested  "Dads Army"  or  "1966 Football Attire"

Any better ideas?

IMO going down the "Dads Army or anything war related" is a very bad idea, still very sensitive to the peoples of the country, Luving the idea of bright red football shirts circa 1966 thou. ;-)up
