International Buggy Weekend 2016 dates have been confirmed as May 13th / 14th / 15th / 16th 2016    Book them in your diary now   ;-)up

The International Buggy Weekend (IBW) is being held this year in Dusseldorf, Germany

Tüv Gelände Neuss
Derendorf Weg, 41460 Neuss,
Germany

This is a fantastic weekend of several hundred Buggies from around Europe, and for those of us traveling from the UK, a truly epic road trip that just should not be missed. If you are a Newbie on here, you are most definitely welcome to join us and for a quick taster of what can be expected over the trip, take a look here at last years trip:

http://www.beachbuggy.info/index.php/topic,6984.0.html

Most of us will be traveling in Convoy from various routes around the country (details to follow) with the aim of catching the overnight Ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, and then driving down to Germany. Because its a Bank Holiday weekend in Europe, its very important to book the Ferry at your earliest opportunity, as its going to get very busy. Overnight Cabin is mandatory, and also gives us a nice rest.

As more details emerge, I will pop them here on page 1 of this thread

Come and join us for the trip of a lifetime !!

Prices and registration details have finally been released.

Adults - Camping with Breakfast / Evening Meals - 65 Euros per person
Adults - Camping with Breakfast - 45 Euros per person

Children (6-14) - Camping with Breakfast - 10 Euros per Child

It is essential to register who is going and if you want to take advantage of their inclusive meal deals, so that we get allocated enough space and food over the weekend.

I cannot fathom out how their registration form actually works, so would suggest to send an email to

tschmiedy@aol.com   with the following information

Name:
Address:
Town:
Postal Code:
Country:
Email Address:
Phone Number / Fax Number:
Vehicle Details:
Registration Number:
Number of Caravans / Tent spaces required:
Club Name :  Beach Buggy.Info / GB Buggies
Number adults with full Board @ 65 EUR
Number adults with breakfast @ 45 EUR
Number of children 6-14 with full Board @ 30 EUR
Number of children 6-14 with breakfast @ 10 EUR

I have also agreed with the organisers that we can pay on the gate as in previous years, else currency conversion gets a bit expensive.

Have had a word with Sandra... She's pumped up over the idea. Not going to hype it up too much as letting anyone down is a taboo subject with us  8)
I'm old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyway.

Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the Nurburgring is only 174 klicks south of this venue on main roads, now that would be a sight. 8)

Cannot find a picture of a beach buggy on this circuit, could this be an opportunity ::)

With plenty of time before the date, could this be possible with a bit of planning 8)

Not quite on the circuit but at the circuit.  8)

Last time IBW was in Belgium a few of us carried onto Nurburgring for 3 days.

On their website it said they were public days but when we got there they had hired the ring out to rich kids in dads supercars and then Audi....

All in all a great trip though.

Good times! I still have my doubts about my buggy making it over there.

7 months and counting!
