Same weekend as NEWS I think isn't it? Personally, NEWS is more me... So will be there. 

I'm thinking about heading down to bug jam this year.

I'm there Been going since '94 and only missed 3 years    Always a good weekend for the hardened drinker lol.

yeah ill be there for the weekend but not with the buggy i dont think bit of a drive from the south coast

It's a shame that the SDBC have no time or love for the bigger shows 
Apart from Volksworld not what I expected to hear from the chairman (you can do the stand)
we did put the flag up at euro bug in of the SDBC and I was asked if we was a new club
I told them the club had been going for years oh the guy said and started rolling
Off all the shows that the club he is in go to every year one of the other member said to
Him as he was walking past that's the buggy club that we see at Volksworld every year
So out of all the shows we the SDBC could only be Associated with Volksworld
They asked how many buggys we had taken to euro bug in I told them 2 Buggys and 2 campers
He Proceeded to tell me they had 41 cars there and over 70 members at the show

WOW

I prefer the smaller shows rather than the large corporate plastic ones  As for drug jam not my thing

I to love them BUT there are a lot of shows going on that the SDBC and its members are missing out on

if only there was a purely buggy meet we could go to that weekend........

If only there was something a bit closer to home
So that some of us never drove for 2 hours
To stay for 1 hour as we have to be up for work at 5AM
And I don't know of any shows that are just Buggys that weekend
Unless there was something in the latest news
Letter we got hold on not had one since Volksworld

I can`t speak for the SDBC`s attendance, but on a personal level, I`ve had enough of "drug Jam" and that type of promoter show. Years ago, VW Action was a real family show too, but nowadays its just another Mecca for Drugs, Alcohol and the rave and party scene. They do indeed put on a spectacular party, but its almost as though its more about the night time music event and  the cars are now secondary. Centred around a drag strip with 20 second cars isn`t exactly a crowd puller either, and lets not forget the facilities - I`m not so sure many of those loo`s flushed on a thursday, let alone saturday, and sunday you go home with your legs crossed. But that said, Go and enjoy it Aaron, fly the flag for all of us, and you may just find some Buggy enthusiasts to have a good time with. Me, I`m hoping to go to NEWS that weekend, a purely Buggy event, and then to Swanage the weekend after (again, Buggys). But being stuck down the other end of the country also, I do understand what you are saying about having to drive everywhere - but thats why NEWS was placed in the middle, to give everyone an equal chance to get there.

Ok, you want a Big show? Remember to put Stoneleigh 2014 in your diary, as I am hoping to get as many Buggys there as I can, to Europes largest Kit Car show - proper old skool event

Yep, NEWS is that weekend! 

And we all know what NEWS stands for.....
