Let's get a list started for who's attending this year, the dates are 23rd July - 27th July or any combo in-between, the theme for this year's carnival is Wacky Western.
The only thing I need to mention after last year is dogs are most welcome but can they be fit and well , and  not be an issue with other people.
For anyone who has not been before, there is camping available at Swanage Football Club, with basic facilities, showers etc, people arrive from 14:00 hours on the Thursday, arriving Friday or Sat is also not a problem, Friday tends to be a chill out day hoping to have a quiz Friday night, Saturday we tend to have a cruise to get us out of the campsite followed by a bbq and some form of entertainment Sat night. Sunday is carnival day, but first we have a show and shine  not taken seriously, after the carnival some people leave to beat the traffic other stay till Monday and we leave the campsite by 12:00.
Catering is sorted by your good selves, and I will sort out charcoal for the bbq.

I would like people's opinion as to how you would like Saturday night to be organised, we currently have a bbq early evening but it's what happens after us what I'm concerned about, do you want a full disco/ party in the bar or would you prefer a social gathering using the bar. Would those staying off site be willing to return to the football club for the bbq and Saturday eve. Let me know your thoughts.

I have just had a very unfortunate email from the football club, we are unable to use the site until the hall at the rear of the bar has been demolished, this is under the instructions from the council.
The chairman of the carnival is on the council so knows our situation, as I hear any further news or can find an alternative site I will keep you updated.

Really good Campsite just down the road - Birchwood Tourist Park in Wareham
Often have VW events there - may be worth a group shout ?

I see they have a match there on the 29th so it is still functioning as a football ground at the moment but season ends 24th May so building work in the shut down time means it will be a building site.

A bit short notice to get all the buggy campers in somewhere unless demolition is fast. Have put a cross post onto facebook BBI page for folks to look here for updates.
