I know the road into Hull quite well  ( not telling why  ) - and just a suggestion that an hour to do the last 44 miles is do able if it's clear- but the last bit under the Humber Bridge towards the ferry terminal can be a right b*tch.

thoughts?

The check in time quoted by P&O is at least 90 minutes before departure, so 19.00 at the latest. Personally I'd rather be nearer the port with time to kill, rather than be worried about being late.  That all said, if we all get so Ferrybridge for 17.00 then we'll be sick of the sight of it long before 18.00 anyway.

BTW, any of you other northern guys planning on going to Dubfreeze next week? 

I've allowed an hour at Ferrybridge but we can set off earlier giving us time. We can also bring the whole timings forward an hour if people want.
Just thinking of the chaps from north of the boarder.

Well I generally would rather been there earlier using the 'just in case' rule so happy with people's thoughts on this , if you are aiming for say 5 for Ferrybridge services I may aim for slightly earlier. Hate having to rush for things after all it is meant to be a holiday so all about relaxing and enjoying the trip

Arran I think it still waiting to confirm his holidays so I have not really thought of a time yet to set off. According to google using the A1 it is saying it is saying 4.19 hours so probable looking at say 4.30 hours roughly.

Plus I guess you'll be needing a stop or two before Ferrybridge for fuel, loos, food etc.
( Ferrybridge services is not very nice, but in a good location for us all to meet up. Wetherby services just a little up the A1 are much nicer, so if you are way ahead of schedule I'd suggest you burn a bit of time there.)

I know I'm not coming your way but from Pier Pressure experience add at least 1 if not 2 hours to the google maps timings to get there.

The google calculated time assumes you are;

1. In a modern car that can maintain the speed limit at all times,
2. There is no traffic
3. Everything is reliable with no breakdowns
4. You don't need to stop every hour to wee, warm feet, stop shaking, be able to hear etc...

Just saying loike...

And I dont want to put the kiss of death on this...... but we should allow some breakdown time just in case.   So personally I would rather have time to kill when we all get there.

m62 can be horrific on a good day so plenty of time is needed alow plenty of time then no pressure nice steady cruise all the way
