Who's gouing to IBW 2017 from up north?  I fancy the idea but don't fancy the trip to Harwich when Hull is about 110 miles nearer to home, so I'm looking to go from Hull. A rough calculation suggests the will cost about the same for me, once the fuel saving is taken into account.  I'd be happier booking knowing that there would be some others taking that route.

Hi. I'm about 60 miles south of Hull but wanted to cruise with the crowd do have booked Harwich. If you do take the Harwich route we could meet on the A1 somewhere between Grantham and Peterborough if you like?

Don`t forget that the Hull Ferry often docks at a different port, so you may find yourself on your own cruising to Sausage land as well - why not come and join us, as the Friday cruise and the Monday sightseeing tour are far better with more numbers of us traveling together

Why not shoot down the M1 or A1 and join up with us 

I can catch the Hull ferry after work, so another day's holiday saved. Plus less child care to arrange.  Without such considerations I'd think about travelling down to Brum on Wednesday and stopping over the night.

somebody will put you up no need for an hotel, we are 35 miles past birmingham so and extra 70 miles added we are here as a bed option but there is 6 months to go yet.

The Hull Ferry arrives only 15mins after the Harwich 1 at Rotterdam so meeting up on route should not be a problem as was done a couple of years ago with the Northern group. I'm not 100% sure on Dover or Harwich yet.  I know there is less driving on the other side but costs and time off may dictate what route I take.

I expect i'll be doing the hull ferry if we get a few of us.

Flags is right we land at the north side of hook of holland so we normally have a 20k trip to meed up with etc others, normally at that petrol station
It worked well 3 years ago so i suggest we repeat that

From what I remember the 2 boats cross on route.

Sounds like there may be a few of you to make the Hull Ferry a possibility - I think Flags is correct that you dock at the southern Europort

Let us know what you plan, and we can make sure the cruise route meets at the Petrol Station as we did a few years back

Haha quite possible, i know were not at your one  , that i do know

After being away on work trips and weeks of corporate madness I am back in the world of the living

Hull sound good to me and yes we can meet the guys on route for a bigger group / cruise.

I will call Dave from Littleborough as he was interested and Jools also said if he could find a Hotel he may be up for it (he doesn't do camping).  I have a mad weekend as a wedding and a few other things to do - hopefully when things settle next week I can start to get myself sorted and will give an update

So possibly 4 or 5 as an opening gambit.  Sounds good to me. 

the hull ferry lands on the other side of the Maas estuary, route will be different this year as i know a tunnel or 2 witch deserve a visit.
let me know the estimate arrival time and il plan for a comfortable meeting point and time. maybe even a good meal.
