Hi there,  can anybody suggest anywhere to get a reasonably priced roll bar from?  Ive seen Flatlands have one and VW heritage have one are they the best place?

Could always find a good welder and get one fabricated, then you get exactly what you want.
From the name I guess you could be in the West Country so I am sure people will be along with recommendations soon

Are you planning a roof? If so and its a hardtop the bar needs to fit under it, if a soft top then the bar defines the shape and supports it.
Are you mounting belts on it? Please don't mount full harness to the floor behind the seats, the bar is the place

This image shows my cage, this is probably the extreme end but supports my roof and gives me seat belt mounts for full harness front and back with bracing under the rear of the tub

Cheers Dave, that is the way im thinking of going at the moment, seems the best option.

I have a flatlands bar on my FF.

It is a little tight as it was designed for the Manx, not the FF, but it will fit, with a little stretching

I went for the one with the seatbelt mounts included.  The only annoying part is the tabs where it is meant to mount to the shell are too high, so I ended up drilling through the bar into the side of the tub and securing that way.

Mark at buzzweld who advertises the space frames will do custom roll bars.
