Oh how I love how the sun makes the paint look bright and fresh and airbrushes away the cracks, fading and patchy yellows !

Looking good, where did you get those headlights from?

These are what I call 'Hunter Headlights' because he kindly steered me to them.  See post

which had other tips including small tractor lights.

But these 'Hunters' come from America:

They are American specification dip which and the main beam is cut down by a shutter for dip. They are legal in the UK. A bit pricey but solved my tyre rubbing on underside of body issues...

Got a phone call today from Jim at absolute Vw, really helpful chap who knows his buggies. Steered me to a supplier of the correct 5.75 " headlamps . Exchanged pictures of buggies and explained a lot about my mk .1 manta ray. Am hoping he can supply me with a set of side pods. Also , when I ordered the headlamps  I also ordered the two folding aero screens a la early Morgan's and the like are fitted with, am going to see if these will work on the manta ray as it has a heavy tubular roll bar in place of a windscreen frame. Will try to get some pics up when they are fitted.

My CTR has essentially the same headlight bowls as a mk1 Manta Ray.I mounted 5 3/4in headlight units (with built in side lights from S.V.C)  slightly forward in the bowl with indicators above.
