I don't think I should volunteer to lead, last year I managed to get lost with a few buggies following me! Looking forward to it :)

Hi All

Been think on the route and have decided to avoid the Embankment because Boris thinks its a good idea to put in a Cycle superhighway and take away half the road, thus leaving us in lots of traffic.

Therefore we can take a leisurely drive into the city past St Pauls and Royal courts of Justice and along the Strand to Trafalgar Square then down to Buckingham Palace onto Park Lane and into Hyde Park? Or we could come along the South side of the Thames where we can include a few long railway tunnels by London Bridge after crossing Tower Bridge then onto Westminster Bridge and up past the palace?

Decisions..... any suggestions?

Worth checking if Tower Bridge is scheduled to open. Always found massive congestion just south of the bridge,
Strand is a nice road

And me too!

Sorry thats not really helping the list very much, but hey you know I won't miss it!

As for choice of run, Well strange as it may seem not wanting to do tunnels but since the London run is about getting max impact with the buggies for all the crowds/tourists etc.... I would go for The City/St Pauls/Fleets Street/The Strand/Trag Square and The Mall.

Now the issue there is that we are bound to get split up due to traffic and lights but all the same there will be lots of little groups of us and  will still be relatively close together until we regroup along the Mall if we can. Any one else thoughts?

I'd really like to make it along for this, I keep threatening to get my arse into gear for an event but haven't managed it yet. We have my daughter and her boyfriend visiting for that weekend and they don't yet even know we have the buggy so participating in a cruise through London to Ace Cafe would be a great way to introduce them to each other (daughter and buggy that is).

However there are two major considerations...

1) Weather... Yes we could put the roof on but that doesn't leave much space in the back and in any case I'm not going to choose to get the buggy wet. To my mind the roof is only for when we get caught out.
2) What time is the meet-up? We'd be coming in from Bristol so a 6am start from here on a Saturday is do-able but not ideal...

Decisions, decisions...
