I can't find any album about buggy event's.
I also can't find anything about that registration number.
Does anybody know one of the guys on the registration brief?.

Some of my old photos are on beachbuggyclub.com web site in the albums section. I wil look in my books when I have time.

To be honest some buggies in the UK change hands a lot of times, people buy them thinking they'll fix them up quick and get them on the road but soon loose interest.

Do you really NEED to find the history of the body?

I'd be inclined just to fix it up and make it YOUR buggy, not worrying about who may have owned it in the past.

I don't NEED the history , but i just asked. Maybe there are some picture's or documents.
I like a picture with my buggy , including hardtop. So i can make the buggy like that.

Sorry I have not dug the albums out yet but the daylight getting short will mean being inside the house more.

  YES , i had the last owner of my GP buggy on the phone this morning!!!
He sayd he have some pictures , and the original (registration) green book.
He will mail and post me ..... I'm happy with that

Oh yes that's about 10 minutes drive from me!

now that i'm done with my buggy, i still think it's jmer that i have no contact with one of the previous owners.
Maybe you have found some info about my buggy or the previous owners in the last few years.

1974 that was a long time ago, requests with names addresses and years on social media is your best bet. Searching the census lists may show if they left the address if the places are still there. I cannot remember log books like that thinking my early 70's were a green cardboad folded document.

A great piece of history and a fair chance one of the first two owners was young (under 25) so is still very much 'out there' to be found.

£40 'rate of duty' is pretty hefty for 1974.

It's a long shot but I'd write a short polite letter with copy of the registration document to:

Mr Eric David Delve who was born in 1942 and who lives at

St. Lukes House
16, St. Lukes Road
Maidstone
ME14 5AW

simply say you have this registration document from 1974 with his name living at Sandringham Avenue, Wimbledon Chase. Was it possibly him and does he have any pictures ?
