Saturday night party fancy dress needs sorting, something british required bowler hat attire has been suggested but may be hard topack in the buggies.
Been looking around sixties was one idea put forwards so http://www.funfancydress.com/sgt-pepper-jacket-budget-pink.htm

That would give the ladies plenty of scope so can search for items.

Found a cheap boer war tunic and hat but that makes it harder for the ladies.

Any ideas welcome and a phone conversation today brought up Chads excellent dutch design T shirts so we need a Belgium design but apart from chocolate and waffles I amhaving trouble visualising something to use on the picture.

Personally I think the 60s theme with buggies is over done...  :-\ Why not recycle last years theme?

Hmmm, chocolate and waffles  ;-)up

The other suggestion as Chad says was the knotted hany on head string vest beach wear, been looking a various sites but some stuff gets expensive.

Sprouts === wind ;D there seems to be no national symbol assocciated with belgium that I can find like the windmills,clogs and daffodils for holland.

heres a few choices  we could do something with for the T shirts

* Waffles
* Chocolate
* Beer
* Capital of the European Union
* The Mannekin Pis
* The Saxophone
* Brussels Sprouts
* Mussels
* Two languages: Flemish and French, never the twain shall meet
* Comic books (like the Smurfs and Tintin)
* Jean-Claude Van Damme (Belgium's famous "actor")

Although I draw the line at Van Damme on my chest  ;D ;D ;D ;D

No its not, no one does it because every one says its over done.....

It's classic and suits the whole buggy culture.

I don't like dressing up anyway so I'll be wearing my Pith helmet, shorts and khaki shirt because I've heard It Ain't Half Hot Mum.  Oh and I've been to the charity shop for a new blouse.

OK Flags, you were the drill instructor last year, ready to occupy the bar in Belgium now we have all completed basic training?
rather that than you leading a 60's Carnaby St parade

I'm for the crusades again

T Shirt needs (IMHO)
   A Smurf
   Mannekin Pis
   and Brussel sprouts (which will probably be our own joke and not understood by anyone else). Where the Tulips were last  year replace with a stalk of sprouts, bet it will get some comment

As for the T-shirts I think as a tribute to the Daddy of IBW's (who if he hadn't have kicked things off we wouldn't be doing it and he may not make it this year) we should with his gracious permission reproduce the last IBW Belgium T-shirts but change the year and try to keep them a bit cleaner, we did wear them all weekend though.
