I cannot see a problem  turning with the wheels in the air is simply controlled by fitting fiddle brakes.

Interested in the engine mounts, as that seems to be the weak area from what I've read on a couple of v8 installs, cracking the gearbox in half, and thats without the weight of blower etc. Got to find them links....

Thanks for the links Oldbugger, I'll have a look at them now. I'm fabricating a subframe for it, tied into the front and rear gearbox mounts and supported by the top shock mounts. The whole assembly is made out of 3mm CDS tubing so should be rigid enough, I think it should be fairly well supported in all planes, using the stock RV8 engine mounts. Have toyed with the idea of also using the torsion bar cover ends as further support, but I think it should be ok. 

Wow is that for real !!! have you got a lump of lead in the front to keep it from taking off 

I hope you have a large supply of gearboxes because that will destroy them in no time , john v8 jas got through quite a few and that was only 200bhp , what have you got planed dir the cooling system I think john had 2 golf rads mounted on the sides of the tub  and 2 massive water tanks on the front axle oh and you'll need discs allround and it still won't stop , good luck that's going ti be mental

No lead in the front, that V8 has given me the clearance I needed under my front wings 

No supply of gearboxes either, as long as I don't do any drag starts and try to be sensible with my driving the light weight of the buggy and relatively rubbish grip of the tyres should give the gearbox a little hope, for a while anyway. I've got a custom rad that was fab'd for the engine, I've got a load of ground clearance so will pop it underneath with plenty of ducting. See how that goes for now, I'm sure I won't get it all right the first time round, plenty of lessons to be learned on the road ahead.
