What's the max width tyre will a 15x7j take please

 there is a section on here with a calculator the profile also has an effect but most buggies are 60+ so not much of a problem.

Muzzy go down to the ideal rim width calculator it is well down the page. but 245/70 X15 looks the widest personally I would go for 225-235 but it depends what size tyres are available in.

you type in width profile and dimameter then click calculate and it gives min and max rin widths.

best go to a tyre site and see what sizes exist first then try the calculator to see if they will fit.

Ok thanks snoopy, I've been offered a set of wolf race wheels in 7j but I've already got 295 new rear tyres so there to narrow to take my new tyres

 at least the calculator will give you rim sizes for the 295 so you can go looking.

Max I'd put on a 7" rim would be something like a 255 wide. For 295 (presumably /50x15) would need a minimum 8 1/2" rim IMHO.

I have 7" fronts with 225/60 14s and rear 8.5" with 275/60 15s
They are both well within specs
