Seems to have spent more time in the garage sorting niggles although we did get wet at Croft. 
Thinking I will stick with the basic "Meyers" style interior.  I have the matching rear seats.
Don't know whose dashboard that is but it suits the original speedo really well.
Empi gear shift was a pain - bent lockout stop and endless adjusting to prevent accidentally getting reverse.


Apart from the missing MOT items, service and carb refurb am working on:
Caster shims on top beam? swapped to lower beam plus tracking and centralise steering box.
Trying to match trailing arm angles (although have adjustable spring plates).
Raising battery box to clear IRS semi trailing arm.

Good news then the wufe cannot get on with aftermarket short throw gear levers a cut down standard one works fine.

First year in a long time I didn`t get to croft.  Think it was in the very early 60`s that Bruce Ropner bought the land It was the D & D Aero club straight after the war. During the war it was manned by British and Canadian squadrons. The beginnings of Croft date back to the 20`s.
It`s mostly remembered for an incident where a bomber crew returned after a raid to Germany only for the bomber to skid off the runway into a tree killing all the crew. The tree stump remained as a memorial until about 30 years ago.

Paul, the Croft meet was classics to modern, quite different to the historic festival with racing that they used to hold.
Looking at the photos of the Hurworth Grange show the same weekend there was a rather tasty green buggy - anyone on here?

Body sits high as has 2" box section around floor pan (helps when you are over 6ft tall).




Originally had 33" Mud Terrains on the back hence the clearance but past experience suggested 1641 and standard gearbox would struggle to turn that tyre size in everyday traffic.

Modifying the exhaust to get rid of the "periscope".  Keeping everything within the engine cage.

Tidy and less of a rain collector.

Did you do the D.Y.N.O. events at Cleethorpes in the early-mid 90s, or the SCORR events in the late 90s to early 2000s ?

The mud on the photo is very reminiscent if SCORR at Buxton.

Dirt was picked up at Knockhill after I abandoned a track day (those rear tyres and weight bias were not conducive to spirited tarmac driving) and went on their off road area.
I never made is down to the southerly competitions.
