SORN but runs of a fashion with old petrol and drives which is a novelty for me.
tagged Manx UK 02- 37 steering and suspension needs sorting as it is slammed solid and stiff to turn, towing home on the A frame was no that nice. Needs a full going through but I can fit in with the roof off.

Have you bought it or is it a job for a customer?
"Ah, Beach Buggies, sure, just a quick cheap way of getting a few more years out of a rusty Beetle. You can throw one together in a weekend." anon.

Brought and I fit in without the roof on but it will probably be put up for grabs when it is has been gone through and is safe to drive.

Images can be deceptive but the body, screen, wheels, wipers and exhaust all look great.

I struggle with the 'My other toy has tits' message on the rear plate. I would t wish to follow that message on a cruise and it might just give the police or Vicky valid reason to bend your ear.

Lovely buggy - could you detail what you will do to make it more drivable?
I'm almost finished building my GP and have softened the front by removing all the small leafs but it still feels stiffer than I would have expected.

I'm sure you will enjoy improving it and having your first drive.

Well after towing it back bouncing a bit the tyres were 35psi front and 40 rear ( now 15/18) but the steering does not follow when towing, it is also lowered to far so that the suspension arms are going up not down.
All joints need checking for binding as do the urethane bushes then springs and dampers can be checked.

If it has adapters on the front that'll add some weight.

One fault solved is slammed beam on standard spindles with short shocks and inverted ball joints using a bent track rod. Unable to push down when pushing on the wing and when jacked up the suspension never dropped a mm as it cleared the ground so may be why no use for 15 years it would just bounce everywhere and be horrible to drive.

:D Reminds me of a friends bug some years ago, the beam would regularly scrape the tarmac.

Front end is sorted it steers and has suspension just stuck awaiting the shocks.
Wiring sorted so digital dash lights work as they should as the hazard switch turned on everything including ignition.
Filament light fitted for charging circuit. Rear seats and seat belt anchors done.
Front seats have nice folded steel sheet mtgs with plates under neath.
Need number plates, fuel pipe to arrive just rear brake cylinders to do and engine tune then it should be on the road.

Underside of the seat mounts made from folded 3mm sheet steel so they sit over the original beetle mounts. The builder did some good work.

Progressing well had the motor out for a service and tidy up, lightened flywheel is on so receipts are good. Looks nice and clean and unused.
