The car in the background is my rear wheel drive 300bhp Nissan Micra tarmac rally car I came 2nd in the National tarmac championship in 2004

Do your inertia reel units have the adjustment for angle, ie, setting them at a non vertical position?  I assume they'll need to 'lean backwards' to align with the upper shoulder pulley mount.

Seat belt reels have come out of a smart car same as the seats they are inclined to correspond with the hoop, tried them inclined and they pull out okay and retract they also lock when snatched. Mounted them to bracket welded into the floor as I felt this would be stronger, apart from the roll hoop mounting they mount the same as in a smart car. I also intend to attach the upper roll hoop mount into the body shell back down to the shock mount externally so as it's hidden but still very strong

 

Vw pedals look so bland so I thought I would start sprucing them up a bit.

So got to the point where I'm bolting the body to chassis and I noticed a while ago that the body really doesn't touch the chassis except at the very front and the rear, there is a good 8-10mm gap, I think this is probably due to the fact that the body was made in 2014 and never got put on the chassis properly until this year. So I have power planed some nylon strip into shape then I can tighten body down nice and tight. Anyone else had this issue with a Manx.

Yes   Manx particularly badly misshapen and out of symetric synch either side.  It`s normal for all body castings to change shape dramatically. Try fitting a body say in summer. Take it off again in winter to do work and try putting it back in place. Nothing lines up. "Glass fibre" structures continue to cure for years.   In essence they fit where they touch and they barely touch

No need for spacers, just use a couple of longer bolts with big washers either side to pull the body and floor together the fit proper bolts. Standard VW floorpan gasket will work best.

The body fitting anywhere near correctly is a bonus, blocks of wood and jacks are the usual tools to get bodies aligned so bolts can be fitted.
