The reverse polarity led is simply a led wired the other way in its bulb base to cater for the classic vehicles that were positve earth..

I cannot get my head arround a solid state semiconductor that has no polarity... How can this be acheived ?

It will be the same as the bi-colour, 2 pin LEDS

With these depending on which way you push the power through them, determines the colour

The dual colour are probably just 2 diodes wired opposite way round so one added and the other blocks depending on polarity

Subtly different to a don't care single colour which needs additional diodes to sort polarity

I don't care single colour could also be 2 diodes aired opposite way round of the same colour.  Certainly cheaper than extra rectifying diodes
