Thinking of fitting a shut of valve below the tank, any suggestions.

Electric pump and isolator is easier to use as an anti theft device.

I was thinkibg more along tge line of future proofing if I need to do any work on the fuel system I can work without emptying the tank or clamping fuel lines

I've an in-line shut of valve connected via AN fittings. Only trouble you need a 37' flare at some point. Did mine using a stainless steel compression fitting with the appropriate AN fitting tigged onto it

If you are working down there worth installing. Electric cutoff and pump with switches as Snoopy says but if the cutoff fails for any reason then a manual valve lets you sort it easier.

Just don't do what I did pretty regularly when I fitted mine. You can get quite a way before the engine stops when you forget to switch them on.

I fitted a manual valve to mine, it's in the middle of the flexi under the tank.  Well worth it.

I have the correct size motor cycle valve just below my tank.  Money well spent if ever you need to work on it and saves a load of hassle (also when parked up over the winter serves as an extra anti theft device which I always seem to forget to turn on when I come to start it :) )

Before I went full AN/JIC fittings I used a fuel quick disconnect coupling, makes it very easy to shut off fuel for filter changes or draining the tank by pluging in another hose.

Do you have a link to one?

Same, we have a dry break coupling down there, it's great for working on the fuel system.
