My first company car was a Viva C
At a company meeting I left and drove away in the wrong Viva.
Most of the keys fitted most of the cars

My 105e door and ignition just needed anything that could turn it

Old cars are pretty easy on the whole

I carry an Alsatian everywhere

Hi all, while I am building my Bug, I am wondering if anyone uses any anti theft devices
If so what do you use.....??????

Also has anyone every had there bug stolen.

I think your best option to stop someone starting it is the 123ignition Tune+ http://www.vintagespeed.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=239&category_id=37&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=119

It's an electronic distributor with Bluetooth, not only change you change your advance curve, but it has the option to immobilise the distributor with a code.  £360 is not a cheap option though.

It won't however stop someone towing your buggy away, so maybe one of the crook locks which goes between the handbrake and gearstick is a better option.

The AccuSpark electronic ignition system has a built in cut out system, only problem is you never know when it is going to decide to operate!

All you can do is make it difficult, but if they want it, they will take it

"Ah, Beach Buggies, sure, just a quick cheap way of getting a few more years out of a rusty Beetle. You can throw one together in a weekend." anon.
