If you are doing frame head I would recommend finding someone who can either lend you a jig or getting someone with a jig to do it.  The replacement frame heads aren't known to be the best fitting.

I think parts of the internet were glitchy yesterday.  There were sites I couldn't get to and when I rang the companies they were fine their end.

Personally I wend for the 123ignition Tune+

It's a bluetooth distributor that you can program the curves for, also has the option to turn the distributor off with a PIN to immobilise the ignition.

You can set the curves up as pure mechanical or add vacuum and boost curves (ideal for turbo and superchargers).

When I setup mine I set it for a 7 degree static curve, then applied a mechanical curve, drove it for a while to log the vacuum signal and then decreased mechanical curve and added the vacuum curve based on the actual signal from the carbs.

From those requirements Doon fits the bill, especially on the opening bonnet front.

Not sure if Rob at East Coast Buggies have the opening bonnet mould for the Manx style buggies, if he does then the Sidewinder is an option.  This does have a large opening at the top, but a standard UK oblong number plate can be fitted here.  This is not as open as the Prowler (available from East Coast) which is the red one you mentioned at the top right.  There is also the Classic (Manx) from East Coast which is the other Red one in the banner.  The Sidewinder had wider arches to fit under tyres under the body which would normally protrude on the Manx.


You have gone full circle here from a LWB that will not need an IVA test to be correctly registered back to a SWB that will.

Doon also do a LWB which looks good and has the opening bonnet.
