It says on their website that they do structural repairs? Ross is a nice guy and certainly knows what he is doing.

Have you tried RC Coachworks in Ayr? I just did a quick Google search and they popped up.

Why not contact Ross if you're heading up this way and see if he would do it that day and pick up on your way home?

Ayr in Scotland? If yes then Ross Morrison at RMR restorations has a place between Erskine and Bishopton. He has done lots of work on VW's and i know he has welded in adjusters before. You will find him on FB.

Imho, get someone with a tube bender to make a bespoke one for you. Not a pipe bender, as it will create flat spots on the bend radius. As has been said already, each body is different, seat angle, height of you sat in the seat, how level the floor pans are etc etc. Do it once and do it right. Where are you located, as someone may be able to recommend a local place?

No idea to be honest, but it is quite heavy. I can weigh it when i go back to work on Wednesday, and get an idea on cost. Shouldn't be any more than a tenner i think. I'll need to see if i can find a box that is strong enough too.
