General thoughts or ideas, I came across this on a Baja build for class 11 Baja racing. Has anyone tried something similar on a buggy. Roll bar tube welded to rear torsion bar and bolted to front beam. Just wondered what the pros and cons of this sort of set up would be on a buggy?

Above the pan means cutting the tub, reducing seat and foot space. I use box section under the lip welded to the rear tube and had extended them to the front beam intending to fit like a scaffold clamp at the front but never got around to it so now just weld it up under the frame head. Round tubing would be stronger but drilling for the body mounts is more difficult and weakens it anyway.

May be a stronger way to mount a roll cage for racing, instead of 'spreader' plates bolted or welded to the floor pan?
