As a rule I don't leave the buggy out in the rain. However got caught out a work, managed to get a cover on(no roof, just a bikini), but not brfore a fair bit of rain got in. Move onto two days later. Noticed water dripping fromthe rubber bung just in front of the rear suspension horns. Can only imagine rain has seeped fromthe floor into the main tunnel . Never seem this before. Anyone else ?

After a good dunking, said bung will drip for days.....you will notice the bung has a split in the end, that's to let the water out, but not back in when fording rivers......

Worth looking at the very front of the tunnel, there is a large hole there facing forward, would be behind the front bumper on a beetle, on a buggy it is completely exposed so worth making sure there is a cover fitted over it.
(at least there is on mine)

Yes Doon, the cover is in place, just wondering how so much water seems to have got in when there wasn't that much in the foot wells  :o0

Lots of ways in, front cover needs a seal (mastic will do), Inspection cover inside at the back, round handbrake and gear stick if boots not fitted
Good squirt of Waxoyl once you have got it dry

Don't forget the holes where the clutch/brake/accelerator enter and exit if the water has built up because of the rake and the seals aren't good another access point..
