So, some of you know I have looked at another buggy this evening.
so I thought I would post some pictures up and find out if anyone knows anything about the kit.
I know it has a Fibre Fab 2 bonnet, as you may be able to see it has scribed on the side, "Painted by Fibre Fab"
I can tell you the side pods and wing lips are one mouldings and have been fitted separately to the rest of the body. I am told that the original owner was friends with Tony and we believe this is Anthony from Fibre Fab, when they where based in Finchampstead (6 miles from where I live). This car has had 2 owners, one who has it know and then the old guy he bought it off, who knew Tony.... Getting the picture yet..>??

It looks good, nice colour and the hood looks in good nick! What I do think is that there's a lot of Foxy ladies when it comes to buggys!    Had a foxy lady plastered on my bonnet too when I picked it up 

Looks like a GP mk 1 to me the wing extensions also look like GP items just glassed on and painted body colour . The side panels are GP it's just the bonnet that is different .

The bonnet is from a RAT 2, this much I know for sure.

I am not convinced its a GP to be honest. It has a RAT 2 bonnet, that's definite.
I am going to see the guy that owned it before the current guy and discuss its history with him. He was the only other owner of the vehicle according to V5 and he is certainly old enough to have had the original 1954 Beetle from new.

Front ones are Wolfies and rears are a copy.
The rears are a very nice quality wheel as it happens. To be honest I doubt I will be changing them, but will bear it in mind.

Might need some big carbs for the engine though, it has Solex on there at the moment....

As others have said it looks to be a MkI GP Beach Buggy with GP's optional wheel arch extensions and sidepods fitted and moulded in. The bonnet is off a MkII Rat or maybe even off the American El Lobo buggy that the Rat bonnet (and FF body tub) was moulded from.

The rear lights look like MkI Escort.

Just looked at the engine. The oil breather looks like it's off a fuel injection motor.... Also where is the oil filler??

I have thought about bigger carbs for my type4 engine but the cost of a set and setting them up is to much for me and I have other things I want to do first.
If you find a stash of cheap ones let me know.
