Quick question about the above. A la Baldrick, I have a cunning plan....need to know if a std 1200 rear light base fits a sidewinder shell without modification?

Grab them, pull them an inch or so to widen them then give them a twist and they'll fit fine. Or pay Flatlands an arm and a leg for his specially 'trimmed' ones that IMHO never look quite right.

These are the 'adjusted' ones on the back or my Manx, I've got a couple of spare shells if you want to have a play.

I'll dig 'em out...I think I've got a pair (they were made by several manufacturers and don't always match side to side).

Sorry Ben but they're not where I thought they were. I'll keep looking but don't hold your breath.

I've got a pair of repros in silver mirror flake but they'd definitely need trimming.

When you twist, pull and bend them, just make sure the base (which is earthed) doesn't come into 'contact' with the back of the indicator bulb connector, when you tighten it all up............ like what I did..........took a while to find why I kept blowing fuses, that one did.......
