That looks a interesting advert, strange what people collect and do nothing with it really needs a local member to drop in and look what is there and the condition of it all.

Nothing til next year ;D
Will build all 3 and sell 2. Having a change of career next year to go full time with t-shirts so can build around work much easier.
But one will be black one red and one silver. All different styles and engines & wheels.
Just got a new engine off Rob for CAMO so that will be fully done in a couple of weeks

He mentioned you to me Pete. Amazing that out of only 6 produced one guy has 3!
Although thinking about it now I have ::)
Anyway when my current projects are out the way, I will get on with these. At least if builwell & on the road they should be around a good while longer.
I had never seen one in the flesh til last Sunday. Loads of potential though ;-)up

Weird way of shortening the chassis though, easy but weird! I'm not convinced that they only made six, I'm sure that Pete's had more than that ;D
"Ah, Beach Buggies, sure, just a quick cheap way of getting a few more years out of a rusty Beetle. You can throw one together in a weekend." anon.

Pete keeps buying the same one painted different colours ;D
Two of the bodies have the ready shortened chassis but apparently the weight distribution is better shortening that way :-\
According to James Hale anyway :-)Geek

Mr Philby's book from 1979 states 5 were done in less than a year of business before the recievers moved in.
must admit they are quite a nice alternative buggy shape but then I also liked at their opus T body kit

they were never "officially" a buggy tho were they? I know they were built to same principles  but the originators idea was not for it to be a buggy was it?
