Ey up boys and girls!Lee here from West Yorks,I was guided here by Melly b as I was hoping he still had the Maraton Manx beach buggy for sale-sadly its gone!Im in the process of a full restoration on a Marathon beetle so I'm hoping to find recommendations on someone to restore the chassis for me?

Welcome Lee.

I can't answer your question but others will be along who can surely steer you to somewhere.

Roughly what needs doing ? If you post a few snaps it might help others judge how big a job it is - use the blue link below this box to add photos.

If you hang around this forum for long and you'll end up restoring a buggy !

Thank you very much,Posting photos is beyond me so ill wait until my 11 year old gets home from school!Flatland engineering used to be the go to for chassis work but I'm told he no longer does Buggys and has turned his talents to Harleys. There is someone on eBay going by the name of Flat out but I really like to work off recommendations.Ive plenty of friend who weld but getting them to commit to the project is another matter.

Hi, plenty of VW restoration firms around who can do a full pan but if you are going swb I would aim for the buggy suppliers with history like kingfishers or volksmagic both north west Birmingham The northern crew may know somebody closer to Yorkshire.
