Had a change of heart with my wheels, decided slot mags are now my weapon of choice.
Same size as the old ones, just a new style (7x15 & 10x15 - 215/60/15 & 295/50/15)












Bought new tyres as well, so the old combinations can go into storage for the Mk1 MantaRay project later

Carbon Fan duct now finished. SS mesh finished and fitted, no more nuts n washers falling through the fan hole now!
Gonna make a carbon guard to cover the belt & pulleys I think

Come to the conclusion that my master and slave throttle body setup just doesn't work as well as I'd hoped.
The TB's only need to be out of sync a fraction and it causes issues, so a split / dual throttle cable was the only option. Still needed the big/small pulleys to give the required reduction in travel for these Yamaha TB's, so today I made up a little assy that does it all.
Not quite finished yet, hopefully get it finished and on tomorrow.

Good to see this at Swanage and have a chat.  A lot of work has gone into the engine setup on this one.

I've been stockpiling parts for the Corvair Mk1 Manta Ray project.
I have Body, Chassis, Flat-Out-Customs short floorpans, alternator, starter, lights, gear shift (bugtech), spindles, discs, drums, callipers, wheels & tyres, Corvair gearbox adaptor kit (Kennedy), Triumph 675 street triple throttle bodies, another Megasquirt EFI ECU kit, etc etc.

Today I collected the pair of Corvair 2.7 140 motors that I bought from the Corvair-Ranch in Pennsylvania US, from the freight Co in Southampton.

Much excitement down there then are you fitting the reverse camshaft or flipping the diff.
