It dragged on for a while and I was getting nowhere with emails etc to DVLA so eventually I just sent a V62 off with all my details on and a cheque and bingo, I got my reg number and V5 in my name back. Money talks, or it did then.

If you are the legitimate registrant of that number then I cannot see you have anything to lose bar the cost of a cheque and a stamp (always do it by paper, never electronically).

Worst case scenario, you are flagged up and I cannot see how you would be any worse off than you are now   

Think I am already flagged up since they wanted a built up vehicle report.
Dvla already have a postal order for a v5 so will wait it out for now

Are you sure the blue buggy didn't have a 'legal' pan swap at some time keeping all its details and you have the old pan?

Are you 100% sure you have read your VIN correctly ie not mixed up an O and a zero ??

new pans were supplied with no numbers so you stamped your original on, what is the chassis number you are chasing.

I know someone that bought a rotten scooter frame with no reg or v5, when he tried chasing the docs the original scooter had been re-framed and was told it was and should have been scrap.

They should at least be forwarned, they could have bought it in good faith. It could get very messy for them.

That buggy is in a cruise with other buggies. Any date or location tagged with the photo?

Once I get home I will run through my due diligence, that I followed to track my buggys registration.

It looks like a Mike Hausmann stainless exhaust.

The Blue Buggy in question has been identified and owners contacted   

To save any further problems for them, lets keep the reg and pictures of that one off here for now
