I don't currently own a buggy but I am in the market for one. I have built two kit cars, a Domino Pimlico Premier back in the 80's and a DNA 250 California which is our current show car. I also own a Jensen S-V8 which is up for sale...when I get it sold and have some room in the garage I would like to start a new project, hopefully a buggy. I would like to buy one that is built/nearly built... but a "project "car...if you get my drift, rather than start from scratch.

We saw some of your super buggies at Malvern and we are really tempted. I was an aircraft technician in the RAF for 30 years, 10 years on the Red Arrows, so nuts and bolts are fine (tighten it up till it shears, then back half a turn!), bodywork is more challenging...and electrics even more so as I am colour blind...when I did the dash on my 250 it looked like a troop of monkeys had been at it...but got there in the end.

If anyone knows of a nice project for sale, I'm interested.

Hi and welcome Malvern gave you the range of the differences, are you after a short or long wheel base there are a few for sale at the moment the swb kombat at £4500 looks good but if you want to get a new body shell check the length your donor and the kit are shortened by there is no standard cut length and a body that firs your chassis is easier.
All lwb are the same pan size.

Hello Percy, if you were associated with maintenance for the Red Arrows did you know an officer called Peter Payne by any chance, he was my uncle and was with the Arrows at one point.

You'll have no trouble making any buggy your own as almost regardless of what you start with there is soon an issue that requires sorting (seats aren't comfortable, mirrors aren't how you like, tyres are too small/big/wide etc etc)

Vive la difference permeates the buggy world.

Have a look at the cruises, events, meets and see if you can come along to some - there's usually a few spare seats.

Welcome aboard - I do like your DNA, we have a section on here called "Members Other Rides" and it would be great if you could post some more pictures of it and tell us a bit more about it as I for one would love to know more

I too am based near Leo-minster in the land that time forgot. Have a look on the Members map - not everyone adds a pin - and you'll see there aren't many if us around the borderlands and into Wales.
