Ok, I think I might be needing to put one of my buggies in the hands of a garage!!!!  All sorts of things conspiring to stop me spending much time on buggies at the moment!!!!!

My orange lwb rat needs recommissioning and id love to get done by summer. I seriously don't think it needs much but I'm just not getting it done due to work and running kids footy at the weekends. I had thought about converting it to a swb but I think I'll leave it as a lwb one for now.

Any suggestions for people who I could approach to get an idea of the cost to get it up and running for me would be welcome. I'm in west London. I know there's a few specialists around the country but if there any recommendations for people close to me I like to hear of them. I know about Thingamies in West Dayton but wondering if anyone knows any others??

Mechanically it needs a good nut and bolt safety check, a bloomin good engine tune, brakes sorting ( I've done the wheel cylinders, fitted a new master cylinder etc but its a dry system at the moment). Electrics need sorting, probably. A full re-wire and lastly the roll bar needs fitting properly and seat belts or harnesses fitted. After that I think it will be just be a few tweaks here and there to get it ready for an mot.

I can certainly recommend my chap Spike at the House of Dub. That said not sure whether he wants another buggy project after mine! Based near Leighton buzzard / Aylesbury. Time scales and deadlines can be an issue due to other work commitments but quality is great. I could mention it to him if you want.

Thanks for that. Half the problem I have is the weather. Every time I think I can get the thing out the garage to start on it it starts raining again!!!!!!!! Just had no time since Xmas and can't see much more anytime soon. The footy team I run has a huge backlog of fixtures given the winter we've had so right now it looks like ill have no time free til the end of may.

Hi Mike,

I will drop you a pm in a min with Spikes (House of Dub) details. Spoke with him yesterday and hopefully should be able to help you. All those items that you are looking for he has done to my buggy and has done a great job in doing so! So will certainly recommend him.  :)
