Fourth road bridge

Pier pressure day3 summary.
Day started a little damp and to the sound if Alan Mathie turning up on the car park after driving down from Edinburgh to Kilmarnock to ride with us that day in his Doon.
Hit the road just after 8:30 and straight up to Wemyss Bay ferry terminal to head for Rothsey on Isle of Bute. A couple if minor showers but still promise of this supposed heat wave.

Wemyss Bay terminal is a lovely old Victorian railway station and ferry port where wealthy Victorians would take the train before taking the steamer across to rothsey to holiday and take spa treatments. Nice bacon sarnie from the cafe too.
Rothsey were very welcoming and reserved a space for us to take pictures after the next boat had loaded. Thanks guys. Then headed up the island to take the short hop over to Colintraive on another ferry. Trouble is spent too long in rothsey and missed the boat by 5 minutes. This put us 30 minutes behind.
Then drove over the hill to Dunoon. WHAT A ROAD. 10 mile single track, newley surfaced rollercoaster is all I can say. WOW.
Dunoon were brilliant opening up the gate to allow the 3 buggies onto the pier for pictures. Truely amazing fellas.
Then up to Mcinllys point to get ferry back to mainland. Sat in the queue a nice retired Gent came over and quietly said 'i have had a word and you don't have to pay ' this saved us £50. Turns out later he was the retired captain of the boat. Brilliant generosity Western Ferries.
Quick find stop before heading off to Tek-ma-doon Road. And boy did I take my Doon up this twisty single track hill climb of a road. Nearly got whiped out a hyundai coming the other way. Great views of the firth of forth off the top.
On the entry to Kilcaden bridge we met up with Dave, Aaron and their friend on his trike - sorry buddy name escapes me.
Head off towards the queue on the firth bridge before Alan takes over as the local and heads us straight through the heart of Edinburgh. Amazing.
Never seen it so busy but was Tattoo and Fringe weekend. We must be on a million Japanese holiday snaps.
Quick stop at Holyrood house for pictures although we did have to move as Lady Sarah was due to leave. :-D
Blast over to food place to get so tea. Say goodbye to a few at this point. Finally eat something without chips. Alan leads us onto the A1 before heading home and we ard now on our own to blast the last 50 miles to Berwick. Hit the Travelodge at 9:30pm with great memories and a bunch of new Scotish friends.
Great day number 3 with plenty more donnations.
