Based on a 1967 chassis with 1800 Type 4 engine from a bay window transporter with twin Weber carbs and a one off stainless steel exhaust which looks amazing and sounds very nice, not too loud.
The chassis has been professionally shortened by John Gurney and the full metalflake body shell was one of the last ever made by Mel Hubbard.
The wiring loom was made and fitted by Chad and is of excellent quality and very well thought out with plugs in place for removal of the bonnet etc, all connections have been soldered and heatshrinked, all cable colours match the original VW standard.
The front beam was rebuilt by Volksmagic and the roll cage is a one off creation by Lee at Volksmagic, it extends forward inside the cabin for added side protection and chassis rigidity.
Screen frame also extends down to the floorpan.
The gearbox has been completely stripped and rebuilt with new bearings, flywheel and clutch.
I've covered around 500 miles since the build finish and its been mot'd twice without any advisories.

Always been one of my favourite buggys this one, inspired me big time to get my own 2yrs ago when I seen it on the manxmaniac site even before its rebuild, its got a mean look to it but I must admit I did like those twin mini headlights it had. Deffo would have bought this if I was in the market for one now.

I've been looking for some TurboVec wheels since seeing yours on this site and at Tatton Park in 2014, I think they would really suit the look of this buggy. If you fancy changing your wheels let me know, I'd probably keep it a bit longer with those on

I've had too many compliments on those wheels to part with them buddy, they are kinda special ain't they .
