I'm looking to get rid of the rear seat and lap belts from the GT and fit some kind of storage for a few useful things like the wet gear ad a can of petrol, few tools etc. I don't want to cover the whole rear area just some king of trunk. Would do people use?

I used light aluminium angle strip on the body tub sides and as cross bars then just mdf panels covered in thin decorative ally sheet with a lockable lift out lid in the top only about a foot wide but somewhere to put stuff out of sight.

Chimp molded his own from fibreglass a very nice job it is too.

The old way was marine ply covered in leather cloth.

A look at build threads may help

I've got one of those vintage steamer trunks that fits neatly on the rear seat area, fills the lot from side to side and front to back and just an inch lower than the top of the tub, thinking of using that but when i offered it up yesterday it looked huge, probably because that area has never been full before and rather strange seeing it but i'll whip the belts out and put in in as i would fix it and see how it looks then, leave it in and walk away for 15 mins or so and come back and see what i think to it. That could solve the problem in one hit and not be permanent or too hard to do :)

Doesn't Peter have a page on his site with LOADS of pictures? I could do with that link as boxing in the back is something I keep thinking about but can never settle on a way to go...
