That is looking good you rarely see rancheros with the roof as people took them off.

Personally I like the roof, bit of an effort to get in sometimes but definitely transforms the look when on.
I think today I'll try and marry some side pods I got of £b#y again nit the usual looking ones so maybe another twist in the looks 

The latest attempt at sorting out the offset of the rear lights,the wedge needs to be strengthened and cut/trimmed to fit but i think its 3rd attempt lucky with shaping this mould

and after 4 weeks of painful waiting the last part of dash build has finally arrived today so as soon as i can find 10 min or 8 hrs    i need to get cracking

What's the second from left bottom row gonna measure mate? 

It'll measure about £30 on e?@y couldn't get a price for it to be seperated from the rest of the cluster 

Despite the weather i've almost finished the new dash, a little more work on the top corners needed and a little off the back to fit in nicely, i need to make a long length bracket to fit across the back so the weight can be take up by the centre console and the flat bar when the bonnet needs to come off which means the extra recess will make a nice secure place for the new fuse board etc, next will be to lay the dial and switch configuration out, fleecing and dunking in resin then i can get a mould and finally have a working dash again 
 

One more coat of resin to finish and smooth out and the plug is finally ready for a mould

Thanks to Chad i can get motoring again with the build,  i know i give you a good workout with this one

bad news though looks like a trip to VolksMagic very soon, took tank out to fit new sender and the drivers side frame head looks like an oil explosion, master cylinder has made a mess of the paint and metal work and the steering box might have a leak as well 

steering box should be filled with grease not oil so just a bit of seepage where it has separated with time and heat.

Been a while,,last 3 months have been chaotic for a stupid number of reasons,,
So, update time i scraped the dashboard as i wasn't 100% happy and when i came to making the centre console the 2 just wouldn't sit together and look right, so as time would let me i started from scratch once again and this time i'm much happier with the outcome.

had to destroy the plug getting the mould out as there were a couple of awkward shapes mainly the sun visor/top lip for the dials that got stuck and so had to repair them

colour match wasn't quite right so decided to sticker bomb

Thats looks great and I personally know how hard it is to make a plug, make a mould then smash plug to get it out. Much much harder than people appreciate.

Cheers Chad, 90% going well, could do with a visit if possible? , 1 wire to go to indicator stalk i have no idea what it links to and a few loose ones left over? also the alternator wiring is a little confusing, have a volt regulator to wire first
on another note, i snapped the new oil switch & pressure sender T piece in the engine block and cant get the broken thread out
