1962 SWB Meyers Manx Buggy Chassis

This is a very reluctant sale as I have spent a lot of time on getting this chassis to this point but Ive had my head turned with another project!

King and link pin front end with swing axle rear. The chassis sports it's original vin and is registered as a Volkswagen convertible. No mention of 'Beetle' or 'Saloon' etc.

Has been shortened to 80inch wheel base. Suitable for Meyers Manx and most other US based buggy kits. The shortening has been done in a way so that the joins are invisible. The spot welds along the spine were drilled out and bottom plate removed. It was then lined up on a jig and plug and seam welded back together.

Has has new fuel and brake lines run through the chassis and new shift bush fitted. The gear shift and handbrake mount have been moved back three inches for comfort.

I have around £700 of fab and weld costs in thus far.

Still needs floor pans fitted. I can arrange for this to be done. Budget around £350 to fit standard repro pans and £600 for original quality pans.

Looking for £1000ono

Am located in Staplehurst Kent
