The route has been planned

We will meet in the original few places.

Surrey and Hampshire Buggies will meet at Wisely around 8 -8.30 with a quick call into Clacket Lane service around 9.15 but Hunter will supply more details

We will then all meet at Thurrock services in the Lorry part near the petrol station ready to leave at 10am for our journey to Beckton, which is nice and simple. Leave the services and follow signs for A13 London until the A406 turn off and the first exit off the roundabout then right at lights into the retail park we usually meet at B&Q which is behind the McDonalds which is useful for Breakfast for those that haven't eaten. There is also a Sainsburys Petrol Station to fill up our machines.

We should leave Beckton around 11am after a quick drivers briefing and a chat to those who are not familiar with the Capital so a few pointers if you get lost.

THe route we plan to take is From the retail park we will turn right and follow signs for City Airport or Excel then we pick up signs for City of London, this will take us past The Emirates Sky Ride (Expensive cable cars) and see views of the millennium dome. We will then pick up Aspen way where we pass the Canary Wharf Estate. Sadly Canary Wharf have not responded to my request to drive through the estate so we have to stay outside. We then enter the Limehouse Link tunnel where we can create a nice exhaust drone, but please be careful of the speed cameras they are hidden at high level one at the start one in the middle and one at the end. Once out the tunnel we continue down the highway until we reach Tower Hill, a quick view to your left and you will see Tower Bridge and Tower of London but we will bear off right in front of Tower gateway station and up Minories to Aldgate. Left and the top and keep left to take us into Fenchurch Street where we get a taste of the City, left at the bottom of the road into Gracechurch Street keeping to the right at the lights then onto Cannon Street, we then follow this all the way with the exception of a small one way system to St Pauls Cathedral. Once past the famous cathedral we continue to Fleet Street and the keeping right on Aldwych we drive down The Strand, traffic may be busy here but the tourists will keep us smiling. Trafalgar Square is next up, although no longer a Square and now a Roundabout, we head for the 3rd exit The Mall and through Admirilty Arch and down to face Buckingham Palace. As we wave to Liz we bear right and head towards Hyde Park Corner, if your not lost already you may be lost here. 3rd Exit is Park Lane and that's where we are going. Once in Park Lane you will see Hyde Park to your left and Expensive Car showrooms to your right in between expensive hotels. Don't stop along here because a Park Lane car park can cost you over £40 per day! We then arrive at Hyde Park Corner and we progress into Hyde Park to break and rest and let other catch up where needed.

After we decide to leave Hyde Park we will follow Bayswater Road then at Lancaster Gate tube station bear right and then first left brings us onto Gloucester Terrace, this road will take us all the way on to the A40 Westway towards Acton. We stay on the A40 until we near Hanger Lane/A406 junction we will then bear left off the slip road and take the 4th exit A406 towards Wembley. The Ace café is the first exit off this road.

Sound good to every one?

We have changed some plans around, as we are looking for seats for my boys and daughter.
I know there are a couple of Southern guys also looking for seats.
So, we will take buggy up to Chris' pub, meet with Gordon and Mark, spread the boys out across a couple of buggies, leave the Range Rover at Chris' pub and meet you all at Thurrock services.

This leaves the more southern buggies spare seats for those looking..... Hunter/Micky etc
We should all be covered for rides etc.
