Well after some nagging I have joined you chaps.   Many rollcages and sandrails have come out of the shack since we started the new charity,   and a lot of fun has been had, self respect  regained from long term unemployed, and grins from injured/disabled recipients of drives.   
This year we are enabling other charities by attending events, donating whole vehicles, and just generally having a great time doing a tiny bit of good where we can.   It is great to see you guys are still plugging away building and enjoying your cars.  If any of you are interested in having a bit of fun and doing some good with your cars please let me know, I have connections with charities all over the country wanting unusual and fun vehicles.
Most of what we build now is sand rails, so not really buggies, but we still do a LOT of buggy cages and stuff, so I will post pics if you guys are interested.

I dont know how strict you off topic guidelines are, but I have been doing some really wierd stuff since we started the charity, this thing for instance...

We have been building this for a globetrotting archealogist and part time aid convoy driver.

He wanted a cool looking thing with aircon, 12 v 240v, solar panels, wind generator, kitchen, fridge etc etc...

It is off to Rumania for a shakedown as part of an aid convoy soon, then it will be all over the place as the guys office/home as he travels.

I think it's very impressive.

I could well be getting in touch for a cage later this spring 

We have built two buggy cages in the last week.   And one sandrail.   Busy, which means we should be seeing loads more buggies on the road this year!

good to see folks steadily arriving off the other forums and them being busy with buggy stuff is even better news.

Snoopy, there are LOADS out there that seem to have been in storage for years all of a sudden coming out to play.  I built this one last Sunday (cage not the buggy!)   There is definitely a resurgance.

Good to see you on here Mark, and don`t worry about going off topic as I will always find some space somewhere for you to show us what you have been up to.

The beetle that did the trip to Oz is back with me at the moment...  The biggest drama in its whole well-travelled life was being rear ended by a transit in london!  It with me now for exhaust and a bit of cage rejigging.  Good news is it KILLED the transit.
