Ok guys. Here is an old question with obvious answers.
So why am I asking them? I will probably answer them to.

As some of you know I am running my single external oil cooler. Not everyone's cup of tea but I thought it wont hurt. Now after reading a lot of threads on other forums I'm beginning to doubt my
logic in doing so. Now comes the question I will probably answer. I'm thinking of moving to a doghouse
fan shroud. Preferably shiny. But I've noticed you can get the all in one type. Anyone have experience on these. Would I be right in assuming that there are more bits of tin to go with the doghouse.

Obviously they didn't make it all so after all those years of development. All help will be appreciated

Hi Dave,

All I have on my engine (1776 SSP) is the supplied "standard oil cooler" and the Chrome tinware doghouse fan shroud is the standard (link below) from heritage. OK the quality of the shape/fit is well documented  :-[  and you will need to do a little bit of trimming to fit around manifolds etc. but its no biggie.

The main thing , yes that one piece fits the oil cooler just fine.  ;-)up

And you can fit a type 4 larger cooler and make rear shroud abit bigger to fit. Basic welding  :-)Geek

There's not always enough clearance for  T4 one as even a regular one can be a tight fit against the rear bulkhead.

Don`t forget that there are another two smaller bits of tin to go at teh rear of that doghouse, and help to force the airflow through the cooler and away
