Flatlands sell a stainless pin that has a bolt at each end, I fitted 1 due to the circlips kept falling off the VW 1.

I just put a big nut and bolt through mine - possibly an M16 if I remember correctly, although worth checking the hole diameter.

Loads of copper grease and nyloc meant I could tighten it up just before it pinched but still nice rotation.
