Hi buggyheads, has anyone ever tried fitting 6" KC vynal covers to a 7" lamp ?

I used to have some lamps on the front of my old rover. The covers on there were split in two places so I threaded a draw string thro them and used a slide toggle to keep them on.

Just found out 'mooneyes' do some 7" covers, bit pricey though, have to wait until Xmas is over.

I was looking at those yesterday,good choice of them and are a bit more original.
