Somehow I imagined the engine hanging out the end more, but am pleasantly surprised the proportions of it. And yes can only imagine the power of that thing.

Can't wait to see it in the flesh!!!!

Yes, I did too. The cage does help I think. The fact it doesn't break the confines of that help with the illusion.

Just got to get it clean now!!

I must admit, I really like this shot.
I like how it sits more or less level with the cage.

Congratulations Ben, I've been watching your thread for quite a while, the engine looks the nuts and really suits the buggy. I'm looking forward to seeing a video or two! Before you go changing gearboxes it may be worth looking into larger diameter rear tyres, effectively adjusting your final gear ratio.

I was thinking there is room for more bling in the gap between the engine and body.
polished heat shield at the back - or maybe a stainless name plate in the engine cover area

When I saw the first photo taken at Robs I did think that it needed something between the engine and the space in the body above. But the more I see it the more I like it , I do wonder what it would look like with a chrome standard air cleaner on it like the one on the Thomas Crown buggy? But what ever you decide to do is ok with me because I just love it

Firstly, yes, I am hugely pleased with it. It looks just right and once I tidy the wiring, it will look even better.

As for the gap, yes, there is a plan....! I do like the look of the air cleaner on the Thomas Crown buggy, and although that one is specific to the 140hp engine they used, there is a very similar one for the 110. However, its a 3 piece set up, I can only find 2 of the parts chromed, they are $110 for the pair plus whatever shipping etc. Bear in mind I paid $150 for the fdan plate, valve covers and air cleaners. I'm not sure how good it would look on a sidewinder either. It fills the gap on a Manx perfectly, just not sure on mine....

So, the air cleaner units I got are 61-63 units. There is a cross pipe with an intake horn on it which I can get in chrome. I really like the look of it...



I think that will tidy things up a touch. I've also got some some stainless sheets that I'm thinking about using to tartt up the fire wall.......and a few more LEDs coming.....

Been out and got a few more miles under the belt today. Gave it a full tank of juice as I'm gonna go to work in it tomorrow and then have a prom run and the MBC meet Thursday....
