Anyone know where i can get one of these in the uk?



The pic is from a US ebay auction. Limebug do similar but instead of having a billet wheel, it looks like a black plastic one.

No worries, Limebug can get them, just have to order them.

You do know that they're only for left hand drive don't you?

why would you want one, i hated driving my friends beetle with one fitted. might look nice.

You could always fabricate one?

Use a skateboard wheel?

Or contact a small engineering place?

I wonder it there is anyone else on here who might be interested? Get a couple made, might bring the cost down, sell them.

won't a skateboard wheel just slip onto the existing throttle pedal arm using a little spacer tube thingy.

Only my thoughts here, but I did try this years ago, and the weight of the skateboard wheel
played havoc with my quite sensitive throttle linkage.

You will need quite a strong spring to stop the wheel transferring a bit of its bouncyness to the throttle...

Probably just me here though.

I made my own pedal by extending the VW shaft and putting a 25mm long piece of thin wall 30 diameter tube there instead

Its very comfy to use

i think that was the problem that i had Peter when driving my friends it almost made it kangaroo.

Yes, I have just been telling Andrew that same thing, my bug had one very early
in her life, and the sensitive throttle cable I had made up was bouncing to the point we
were kangarooing out of control.

Needless to say, out it came, the tube idea I have though is very very nice when in use.

Personally,  I've only had a full pedal. And I know this may sound a bit silly for the obvious reasons but how easy is it to heal and toe when you only have a skateboard wheel???

OK so may be we dont really need to do it, but hey its full revving the engine / double de-clutching when approaching a junction.

They sell them in king fishers. Saw them today.
I've got a black one on mine. Never noticed a problem using it
Just took the wheel off the arm, and slid it on the standard VW arm.

Yep.
Looked at changing my black one for an Ali one yesterday.
Then I remembered ........
I don't need one for an MOT ............
And it will just show up the dirt from my boot more, so sticking with black.  I'm a driver, not a polisher !
