Sad to say the buggy is up for sale, can't drive it with an allergy to the cold can't even work on it now as it kills me for days,

The chassis has had box section added by Ollie at beetle magic he also did the irs conversion

Engine is a 1600 with twin kadrons on csp linkage, it ran well but hasn't been used for a while.

Shell needs some work, and roof isn't attached with clips at the moment, the rear window is off a hilman imp and isn't in best condition but they come up on eBay (normally up north collection only lol)

Was going to change the seats managed to get a leather mx5 drivers but not fitted buckets in there at moment

The wheels are limitz sprint stars banded at the back all tyres are good

Could get it on the road in a weekend easily but as said just can't myself took a wheel of the daily today and that's killed me, shame as I wanted to put a doon shell on her :(

Don't know what to really ask for her, so will ask £2000 Ono based in lymington near Southampton
Photobucket has stopped on my iPad so will try and get pics up in the morning

My email is skyend@hotmail.co.uk and mobile is 07833462589
I work split shifts (chef so leave a message and I will call back as soon as I can)

A shame you have to sell but the human body does do strange things. So good luck with the sale.

Those back wheels look familiar, did they come off a red MkIII GP by any chance?

I bought those off Laurie on the old forum Dave.

I then sold them to Karl, I'm not sure if Laurie had them on his Imp or if he got them off whoever had the GP.

I remember cutting the centres out of a pair of 8 inch banded wide 5s and welding them into Sprintstar centres, I ran them on the back of my old GP, they look like the same rims. There can't be too many pairs of banded Sprints around.

They were quite well done and ran straight.  I only sold them as I acquired 2 x 8" Sprintstars that inners were trashed and 2 x 4 1/2" that the rims were rotted out around the valve hole.

The company that were going to re-enter them that specialise in banded wheels let me down though saying it was too difficult!  So the bits are still in the swamp.
