Youd better send a message to the 1970s and just hope that they answer their pager  ;D

Peter thanks hoped you'd come up trumps, got the original photo from your site.
Might be 70s, but still think it looks tremendous. Guess the panelling is attached to the main tub somehow?
Snoopy, any guidance, tips.
Thanks. I like the 70s 8)

And why not, we all have different takes on things and it can often become a 'follow my lead'...

It shouldn't be to difficult to do, though I would make it easily removable at the sides, but that's just me I guess.

I hope you manage to achieve the look you want  ;-)up

I used marine ply thin for the back rest with a shaped strip of wood behind to fit the body contours and 1/2" for the squab then again thin stuff for the tub sides with scribe lines down the rear so it bends around the tub in the footwell, foam padding fitted with a thin cloth on top then the leather cloth on top ( this stop the top layer binding on the foam and getting ridges). buttons were covered in the same leather cloth by the folks I got them off just pushed through and secured behind the ply wood. to fit it in place these days velcro but back then I used small bolts secured through the wood and then through the tub with wingnuts on.
