I had to take one light off to get the bonnet off, Im almost ready to stick it back on, but I need to line it up.
the one I havent taken of on the drivers side is obviously set, is there any way of setting the other using the beam of the one attached to the shell.....if anyone can follow that.
my garage is full of stuff, so using that back wall is out,
by drive is on a slight incline, but I could use the garage door if thats possible with the incline, I do have the one light to go off.

Easy way.... Fit lamp and wire up. Put the nose of the car up against the garage door. Put on the lights. Move lamp so that the beams line up horizontally. (Up/down). Mark the position on the doors where the beam hits. Then back the car away from the doors about 6 foot. Adjust the headlamp beam so that it is just left and down from the marks on the doors.

That's how I set mine when I take my bug apart any way...hope that helps ;-)up
I'm in my buggy,
It's raining,
I really don't care.
