It's about that  Going to use a little Acewell speedo...
Got a few other things to be finishing off over winter too. Maybe a new engine too!!

Hopefully, I am picking up Mrs Child of the 70's old Beetle engine tomorrow. It's a 1500 and to be honest, I'm no fussed as long as it gets me going again! Who knows I might get one more drive in before next year! 

That's great 1500 is a great strong engine ran one in the rail for a few years till we got the 1700T4

Dunno about that, but I thought I would see if it ran and what might need doing...

So last night and tonight I gave the 'new' engine some attention.

Step 3, search Dad's garage for twin-port heads

Step 4, rob said heads 

Just a little upgrade to help the engine breath better...

It's coming back together slowly, nearly got there till I noticed a push rod tube wasn't in properly and my toes started to drop off!

what did you decide after for the rear number plate light/ cover
