As per my strip and build thread, I am having a problem with the steering coupling and getting it undone.
Can anybody give me some guidance as to a trick or best practice to get the coupling unbolted.

You can call me thick if you wish, but I must be missing something to be able to a spanner onto the coupling, with the body on (I might add)
:D :D

I've never had a problem. Are you using the correct size spanners? Nut is 13mm spanner but the bolts are often 14mm.

access wise just turn the steering a 1/4 turn at a time and do the one that is accessible or do a 180 and remove the opposites otherwise take the clamp bolt out of the box end and pull the column up off the box to get better access.
